Abstract

This study focused on the assessment of personal entrepreneurial competency and inclination of Business Administration students of a particular university. Using a quantitative-descriptive research design, selected students participated in the survey utilizing a standard personal entrepreneurial competency and inclination questionnaire. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze the data gathered. Results showed that business administration students are generally goal-setters and information seekers. However, it was also found out that they lack self-confidence which is a very important competency an entrepreneur must possess. Results further revealed that they are inclined to start their own business venture in the future but lack the needed confidence, support and risk-taking ability to do so. These results could be used in designing activities and programs to better enhance the students’ competency and inclination towards entrepreneurship.
